pano yung cabling nyan? kung maraming bahay saan mo pinapadaan? ok sana yung nasa ilalim ng lupa tulad ng ginagawa ng pldt nakalubog ang cable may mga equiptment kasi sila na pang butas


another question, kung e LAN ko nalang mga clients ko malaki ba ping compared sa fiber? mejo wala pa akong maxadong knowlegde pero marami naman sa utube about fiber setup

Kung paano pinapadaan nila pldt, globe, converge sa mga bahay-bahay ganun din ang deployment like naglalagay ng nap box sa mga poste ng electric coop(though need mo ng additonal permit para jan) or mga poste sa loob ng HOA, subdivision or any private property pwede ka dun magtayo ng sariling poste na paglalagyan ng NAP box at pagsasabitan ng ilalatag mong fiber cable depende na lang kung ano magiging usapan ninyo ng may-ari ng pinapasok mong property.

OK yan sa mga commercial places, para hindi maging crowded or panget tingnan
pero kung residential lang at province residential ang area pwede na ang aerial deployment. Dami mo need na permit jan kapag sa ilalim ng lupa papadaanin, lalo na dito sa city prone kang may tamaan na mga tubo ng tubig.

Sa internal network mo wala naman masyadong significance sa latency compared sa Gigabit connection ng cat6 UTP LAN cable 100Mhz to 250Mhz frequency. Unless pure fiber ka(meaning from OLT to your main router e.g. Mikrotik eh naka dac type sfp module na gamit mo. May konting increase yan sa overall latency pero hindi naman ganun ka significant but for sure sa games advantage pa rin kahit gaano man kaliit na millisecond difference.

FTTH cable deployment(OLT powered) advantages over UTP LAN cable:

-longer range kahit pa yan 1km, 2km, 5km kayangpkaya unlike sa UTP standard max length 100m, at 200m and up is more likely not advisable na. Hindi din bulky tingnan ang fiber cable kapag nakadeploy na dahil maninipis lang naman ang mga ito.

- mas compact ang terminal box or NAP box pwede ka pa magkabit kahit hanggang 32 clients per NAP box at madali lang din mahanap sa market. while sa UTP cable deployment 7 to 15ports lang advisable dahil magiging bulky at need ng power source para mapagana ang switch. Dagdag mo pa na prone sa EMP ng kidlat ang mga network switches.

-Mas mura, ang fiber optic cable (FOC) na 1km length is only worth 2.5-2.7k lang at mas mura pa yung mga tinatawag na unlabeled foc cable na galing sa telco na nabibili sa black market worth as low as 1.8k. Unlike UTP cat6 outdoor cable 2.3k pesos nasa 305m lang per box.

-all fiber matik yan mas mataas bandwidth capacity 1gigabit or more ang kayang throughput depende na lang sa gamit mong equipment specifically OLT(optical line terminal).

-Actually marami pa pero yan lang mga major advantages nasa isip ko ngayon

Isa sa basic na dapat malaman para sa deployment plan ng mga NAP box o yung terminal box na pagtutusukan ng fiber line papuntang bahay ni clients. Ito yung tinatawag na power budgeting.

Meron din naman pang budget meal brand na EPON for 18k, with 2 PON goods na for beginners up to 120 clients. Medyo tumaas na din kasi demands sa market last January around 15k lang yan.

tanong ko lang, anu ba ang target market ng FTTH? kasi TS sabi mo 10mbps for 1K a month parang mahal naman yata yan, pwedi naman mag unli 599 rocket sim si tomer unli din naman... kung low budget naman pwedi naman sa smart 299 unli data narin nasa 1.5-1.8mbps nga lang... parang hindi patok dito ambabarat ng tao dito hahaha...
